I started the day at Austin and Veronica’s house to photograph the girls getting ready. It was kind of a rainy morning, but as we made our way to Kanapaha Botanical Gardens where the ceremony and reception were being held, the skies cleared and the day became absolutely gorgeous! It stayed that way just long enough for us to get through the formal portraits after the ceremony when the rains came back strong. In this first posting you will see the getting ready shots, the pre-ceremony preparations and the ceremony itself. Check back for Part 2 as we move inside for the reception.

While Abbey and Michael will be getting married in Texas they live here in Gainesville. As such, I had the honor of taking their engagement photos. After reviewing several past engagement shoots that I have done, Abbey and Michael chose two of the best places the Gainesville area has to offer, namely the historic district of Micanopy and Haile Village Center, stopping for a quick outfit chance between locations.
