Alek & Katherine – Sweetwater Branch Wedding Photography

Alek and Katherine are the second in a string of four straight Sweetwater weddings I had last month. Of all the places in Gainesville, this is definitely in my top two favorites, especially on an overcast day. Yep, nothing better for fantastic photos than the soft light of storm clouds! Aside from that, the day was great simply because of the company I enjoyed. Alek and Katherine are two of the most genuine people I have ever had the opportunity to work with. All you have to do to realize how much these two are meant for each other is look at the expressions on their faces while saying their “I dos!”

Amanda and Steve are the first of four straight weddings I have at Sweetwater Branch Inn in Gainesville, FL. It is one of the premier locations in Gainesville to tie the knot with their beautiful gardens, elegant reception hall and on site accommodations. Amanda’s went all out with red roses from Prange’s Florist and Chris McCarty entertaining their guests throughout the night. It was one of the best times I’ve had at a wedding in a long time. In this, the first of two installments, we will see the girls getting ready and the ceremony.

Jessica & Adam – Hilliard Wedding Photography

Normally I try to say something to encompass the couple’s personality or feelings for each other. This time I’ll let Jessica’s own words say everything you need to know. When I was up in the bridal suite with the girls as they were getting ready, Adam was down below putting the final touches on the ceremony site. Jessica peaked through the blinds, turned back to the girls and said with an ear to ear smile, “I am completely obsessed with him!” Enough said.

Michelle & Brad – Wedding Photography Gainesville

Brad and Michelle are the latest in a string of weekend weddings I have had the pleasure of photographing this spring. This time it was Kanapaha Botanical Gardens hosting the event. They chose one of my favorite locations in the garden, the aptly named wedding oak (where I happened to get married if you are interested). I had a great time with this couple, and look forward to the opportunity to photograph their new addition to the family expected this fall!

Becca & Hansol – Part 1 – Gainesville Florida Photographer

I love getting the opportunity to photograph at a new location, and thanks to Becca and Hansol I was recently able to do so. They tied the knot in front of over 200 family and friends at the Gator Wesley Foundation across from UF campus. The ceremony centered around the couple coming together with God, and as such, was filled with beautiful hymns, scripture reading and prayer. In this, the first of two postings, you will get a sneak peak of the ceremony, as well as the coming together of close family and friends to help the amazing couple prepare for their union.

Becca & Hansol – Part 2 – Emerson Alumni Hall Reception

After a couple shots at The Gator Wesley Foundation of the bridal party, we took a short drive to Wilmont Gardens on UF campus for the portrait session of the day. Then it was off to Emerson Alumni Hall for the reception. As Hansol is from Korea, the couple wanted to incorporate some traditional Korean elements into the evening. As such, after the first dances were complete, they shed their American garments for the colorful and elaborate attire of Korean weddings.

Sarah & Dustin – Part 1 – Wedding Photography Jacksonville

This day was a long time coming, and it was well worth the wait! Having first spoken with Sarah and Dustin in early summer of 2012 and seeing what Sarah deemed worthy of a “Like” on my Facebook page, I walked into the church a couple weeks ago feeling like I knew the couple incredibly well for never actually laying eyes on them! They were everything I expected and more. Thanks so much to the happy couple for including me in their special day!
